When Children Get Involved…

Echoing the show Ma vie est un clip (My Life Is a Video Clip), which examines our need to escape through dance, Quand les enfants s’en mêlent… invites children/pupils to inhabit the classroom and school in a different way from usual, that is, through a choreographic prism.

This makes it just like a musical, when daily life turns into a show, fantasising that the school-space is a stage and choreographic area, by dancing in the classroom, defying the restrictions associated with the academic use of the room in order to take over the classroom and school in a positive way, as a space for dance and performance activities.

First performed in 2020 with Scènes et Territoires at the schools of Mangiennes and Billy-sous-Mangiennes, in classes for the second, third, fourth and fifth years of primary school.

In 2023, Quand les enfants s’en mêlent… #2 will be produced for the first time with new classes in association with Transversales, a national theatre in Verdun.
